is it green beecause i have a ingrown toe nail, or is it that i never wear socks?I've had a ingrown toenail for about 3 years, and this morning i woke up and sall that my toe nail was green
um, that could mean that you have a horrible infection. An ingrown toenail isn't something to play around with, they can get really nasty. I would suggest going and having it( the ingrown) removed and if there is an infection, getting it treated before your toe rots off.I've had a ingrown toenail for about 3 years, and this morning i woke up and sall that my toe nail was green
It is highly infected, and it's quite a cooincidence i just had toe nail surgery today. If you don't get it treated soon, the infection will go in your blood stream and possibly numb you're entire leg and they will have to amputate it. You should have done something about this sooner, but get surgery right away and it won't be a problem. What i used to do for a year before i had the surgery was soak it in epsom salts, which kills the infection. You can find it at wallgreens.
Sounds infected.

Head to the doctor so that they can pry out the piece of nail that's causing the infection.

Hospitals get so many people with ingrown toenails that they have a special tool just for it.

It's quick %26amp; simple.

You can also try to pry it out yourself, but, unless you have a high tolerance for pain, you will probably have trouble getting the entire piece out.

If you use any metal tools, be sure to sterilize them with a flame first.

And, if you've had the problem for 3 years, you should really try to figure out what's causing it.

Wearing larger/wider shoes often solves the problem.
it must be an infection if it's green.

my friend just had surgery from an ingrown toenail and she's fine now.
