Does anyone know how to get rid of fungus from your big toe nail?

Well i had that on my left foot for years. So one day I said i was going to get rid of it. Well i tryed everything but nothing worked. so I did this and it worked. I hurt like heII but it worked. I took a bowling ball and just droped it on my big toe. Damn that hert but when the nail came off so did the Fungus!! And now it looks as good as the other foot. But you better be realy for some pain if you do it this way. Because it DOSE HURT!!! and you heard it here first from a REAL Nutcase!!';';NUT'S';';';..PS ..did i win... did i win...did i win??Does anyone know how to get rid of fungus from your big toe nail?

If your talking about the discoloration that happens beneath the toe nail - I forget what it's called right now - but it can't be remedied from over the counter topical medications. I have had this before. It's cured by a pill, taken over time....like a few months. This kind of pill is also expensive. Best to go in to a food doctor for an exam and recommendation. It's fruitless to try home or drugstore remedies.

I found the answer to this on the web several years ago. Put Lamisil topical cream on and all around the nail after thoroughly cleaning it. Then, Put a tight cover over the nail such as the tip from latex or latex free hand gloves ( used medically and also found in hardware stores). Cleaning the nail daily, and applying this method by wearing the cover during the day and freshly applying at night, you can dispense with the fungus in maybe 6 months. The site I saw said 3 months, but it probably depends on a variety of factors. Although this sounds tedious, oral methods can be bad for your health. There are also topical applications at the drug sore, but they may not work. This method works if you're willing to put the time in.
You can try soaking in hydrogen peroxide but if its real serious (an infection) you'll need to get a prescription.
